Public benefits
The direct benefits that flow as a result of the purposes being carried out is the improvement in educational standards and facilities of the pupils at St Colman's Bann Primary school and better working relationships between the staff and parents. These benefits are demonstrated through the improvement of results and standards in yearly
examinations and found outlined in the school development plan . The intended beneficiaries are the pupils of St Colman's Bann Primary school, the staff and the parents and the wider local community as a consequence of this. We have adopted the child protection policy of the school as we are aware that although we are not working directly with the children there are risks associated with being linked with the school community. Indirectly each of the members of the group as a parent of a pupil in the school will benefit from the purposes being carried out as each of our children will benefit through the advancement of their education but this is inconsequential.
What your organisation does
We aim to raise funds for the use of the school for equipment or other facilities or towards the cost of school trips. Our fundraising activities include raffles, Christmas Fayre, Bingo nights, film night and car boot sales. In the future we hope to be able to apply for outside funding from sources such as the lottery. Our events are run through
support and volunteers from parents and others in the local community. local businesses have also been very helpful when it comes to sponsoring events or providing prizes for raffles.
