The direct benefits which flow from our organization to increase participation by inhabitants in community activities and encouraging social interaction without fear of discrimination and to join with those who will be providing entertainment . For the young people this will be the chance for some social education Also to raise social awareness
and funds for charitable causes as chosen by the committee. How are the direct benefits demonstrated – By both numbers attending events and feedback forms. There is no private benefit or harm flowing from the purposes.
What your organisation does
The committee organise and oversee the running of the Festival programme of cross community events which provides a range of social and cultural events for the period of the festival. The events include fancy dress parade, open air dancing, face painting, bouncy castle, dress a scarecrow, baby show, teddy bear picnic, novelty pet show, treasure
hunt, Country and Western concert, table quiz and whist drive, open garden & refreshments, it’s a knockout/ fun games and barbeque, fun run, 5 aside football, indoor bowling, art display incorporating works from local primary and high schools, senior citizen outing and dinner.
