Purposes: 3.1 Promote the benefit of the people of the rural areas of Pomeroy and Donaghmore villages and surrounding hinterland within the council areas of Cookstown and Dungannon (hereinafter described as the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities,

voluntary organisations, community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. Public Benefit: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include: improved facilities and education in leisure, sporting and bowling activity, which helps brings about greater understanding and improved good / community relations. The group’s activities bring about improved education, health and well-being outcomes through local provision in the community, and reduced levels of social isolation, stress and anxiety, through the provision of leisure and recreation. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from beneficiaries and attendees at our events, classes and activities using: evaluation forms, surveys, verbal feedback, and evaluation of our activities. There is no harm anticipated from this purpose. The charity’s beneficiaries are primarily the inhabitants of the rural areas of Pomeroy and Donaghmore villages and the surrounding hinterland within the council areas of Cookstown and Dungannon in Mid Ulster. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our ongoing services and programmes of leisure and recreational activities: information, training, events, competitions and networking visits. Through this, Trustees gain leisure activities, information, skills, and experience which are transferable to other settings, and which may benefit their own community group or area. Our own Trustees receive information, services and activities in the same way as other beneficiaries, and are assigned support, information and services in the same ways as other beneficiaries. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
