Public benefits
The charitable purposes as set out are for the general public. Carryduff Gospel Hall holds weekly worship services at the church premises which are open to the public. The public benefit is demonstrated by the virtue of the fact that the public are able to attend services of worship thereby being able to participate in an act of public worship. The
trustees are not aware of any harm or potential harm arising from this purpose being carried out and no private benefit is gained from the carrying out of the purpose save that the trustees employ a minister. In addition to carrying out acts of public worship the charity also carries out and also provides youth work to the children of the local community which allows young people the opportunity to meet together in a safe place to engage in social activities and have an opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith. The trustees do not believe that harm or potential harm arises as a result of the purpose being carried out. Further activities carried out by the charity include senior citizens meetings which provides an opportunity for senior citizens to meet, have meals and have an opportunity to socialize together. This is intended to benefit senior citizens in the area no harm or potential harm arises from the purposes being carried out so far as the trustees are aware.
