Public benefits
The direct benefit resulting from the purpose being implemented is that the public have a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is promoted and they can assemble to worship God, and find fulfilment, satisfaction and peace in their lives through personal faith in Him. This benefit may be demonstrated by a potentially more settled community which
is characterised by lives conducted in a more law-abiding, moral and godly manner. The spiritual, physical, emotional and pastoral needs of children, young people, adults and older people are met within a church or mission context through public worship services and a range of activities. The intended beneficiaries are those in the immediate vicinity of the Church but anyone, from any location, may benefit subject to agreement by the Trustees. These benefits are demonstrated through informal feedback from church members, those who attend the activities, their families and the community. There is no harm or potential harm as a result of the purpose being implemented and to safeguard children, the Trust operates to an agreed child protection policy which requires Access NI clearance for all those who work with the children. The beneficiaries are the general public and there is no monetary benefit to any Trustee.
What your organisation does
Brooklands Gospel Centre is an independent evangelical church established to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ both in belief and faith. Activities/Meetings are organised in accordance with the purposes outlined above. Activities directed specifically to increase community involvement include the weekly Gospel Meeting, Every Girls Rally, Sunday
School, Drop-in Coffee Morning (primarily for the retired) and Mothers and Toddlers. A Kids Club is also organised, comprising a full week of activities, during the first week in August each year. The Trust also supports home/RoI/overseas missionary work.
