The public benefit which flows from the purposes as outlined in Articles & Memorandum under section 4 (a), (b) & (c) are as follows 1. Advancement of community development within the rural village of Artigarvan by providing facilities for users to access recreational, social & educational activities 2. Improved facilities for the advancement of
health and wellbeing by providing a venue for classes, courses and training. Thus improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Artigarvan & surrounding areas. 3. Advancement of education by increasing abilities, skills & self-confidence of inhabitants The main beneficiaries are those people who life in Artigarvan & surrounding areas irrespective of age, genger, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity or political or religious opinion. A private benefit may arise when a trustee attends a class or course, thus improving skills and ability, however these skills are transferable and the trustee enrols on the course as a member of the public. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the organisation meets its aims and objectives. The benefits will be evidenced through feedback from users and routine evaluation of the services, courses & programmes. In provision of the services there is no harm as a result of the benefits.
What your organisation does
The organisation engages with a wide range of community & sports groups, individuals, statutory or community organisations to run social, recreational and educational activities so that we can enhance the overall services & facilities for Artigarvan & surrounding area. We open daily with the following activities - junior & senior badminton,
cricket, football, birthday parties, Pilates, flower arranging, mixed circuit training, multi sports for children. We also organise specific training courses ie Cricket Ireland Coaching and high performance badminton training. We also organise the following accredited training courses - food hygiene, first aid and Young Farmers information events. We also organise a variety of fundraising events eg car boot sales and craft fairs.
