Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from these two purposes are the breaking down of isolation, stereotypes, sectarianism and discrimination by improving the quality of life, health, fitness and building camaraderie and community through the sports of baseball and softball in Belfast and across Northern Ireland. These benefits are evidenced through the

increasing numbers of individuals from all backgrounds and abilities using our services and the feedback received. Our services involve the provision of facilities, instructed training and league fixture games, ensuring patrons understand the fundamentals and safety of both sports being played properly. Injuries are extremely rare and the benefits of the service outweigh any risks. There is no private benefit flowing from these purposes of our organisation. Beneficiaries of The Belfast Northstars and Baseball Club are those people that wish to play the sports of baseball and softball in a safe and coordinated environment in Belfast and across Northern Ireland.
