Fox Park Residents Association meets the public benefit requirement through its purposes as follows; - To advance education: The direct benefit that flows from this purpose includes linking in with other organisations and groups to provide educational outings and trips which participants would not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in. We

also advertise promote and encourage residents to attend educational courses, information and awareness sessions. We are also linking in with south west college to explore the possibility of providing essential skills training within our community. - To Provide or Assist in Providing Facilities in the Interest in Social Welfare for Health Recreation Leisure Time Occupation The public benefits which flow from this purpose do so through the provision of a wide range of projects of activities which benefit all those that participate and the wider community including ; opportunities to participate in activities which enhances the quality of life, reduces social isolation, increases skills, confidence and self-esteem and encourages active citizenship and community participation. All projects and activities are organised based on identify needs in the area. Benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and attendance at events and activities. Those who participate in our projects directly benefit through this engagement. The wider community of the Fox Park area also benefit as a result of information published in our newsletter, on our face book page and our local notice board. The Fox Park area community also benefit through the outcome of project run by the association e.g.: Community Garden, Planting and Estate Clean Ups, this raises the profile and image of our community in results in increase pride in our area. The Residents Association promotes equality of opportunity without distinction of age, gender, race, political religious or other opinion. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes

What your organisation does

Fox Park Residents Association provides a wide range of activities for all residents in the local area, to include the old, the young, unemployed, disabled etc. Activities include youth club on a Tuesday night parent toddler - tuesday morning Christmas, Halloween, Easter events quiz nights DVD nights lunch club fitness and healthy eating

club educational classes SWC - essential skills committee meetings once a month and AGM Venue hire - parties etc. attendance at Housing Community Network meetings in the Omagh Housing Executive offices

Charitable purposes

The Association is established to: 2.1 relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Fox Park estate and district area of Co. Tyrone and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants;
