PUBLIC BENEFIT The direct benefits which flow are to enable young and up and coming organists to further their studies in organ playing and related studies, being referred to expert tutors in their field, paid for by the Trust. . Alternatively, a grant may be given to cover travel and other expenses either abroad, in the United Kingdom or the
Republic of Ireland to visit a suitable tutor or attend a suitable workshop. There is no monetary gain to the beneficiary except to cover his/her costs involved in furtherance thereof. None of the Trustees gain as being one of these tutors. GRANT MAKING With regard to grant making, each applicant is assessed by a committee under the chair of an imminent organist who travels the continent giving master classes. This person is a recently retired Professor of Music at the University of Ulster, Londonderry.
