Purpose A: The advancement of citizenship and community development through the provision and maintenance of Aghanloo Community Hall and recreational facilities for the use of the inhabitants of the Aghanloo area and the surrounding district (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) Purpose B: To advance education of the inhabitants and in
particular but not exclusively children and young people in the area of benefit the provision of workshops, classes, and activities and outings. Beneficiaries: The beneficiaries of these purposes are those living within the area of benefit. The direct benefit which flows from purpose A is that improvement of the quality and conditions of life for beneficiaries through use of a space that encourages social interaction through accessing a range of community social activities such as recreational and leisure classes and lectures. These benefits are evidenced by the utilisation of the hall facilities through the number of people attending community events, classes, lectures and meetings as well as the number of people using the hall. We obtain regular feedback from those who use and rent. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The direct benefit which flows from purpose B is providing beneficiaries with workshops, classes, activities and outings to enhance their knowledge or skill set thereby increasing self-confidence and reducing isolation. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from the local community, service users and liaising with training providers. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Private Benefit: A private benefit to trustees may arise in terms of them availing of the facilities through community activities, leisure purposes workshops or classes etc. Facilities are assigned on an equal basis to all the community and trustees are subject to the same procedures. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
We provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants and do so without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions. We also run classes, children's workshops and summer schemes,
quiz nights and dances etc.
