Public benefits
Drumgor Heights Residents Association believes that our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits deriving from the organisations purpose includes improvement of the quality of life for residents, a reduction in the level of Anti Social Behaviour, improved services to and in the area, clean and tidy
estate, well maintained and settled area. The beneficiaries of this purpose are those primarily who live in Drumgor Heights and includes visitors to the area. The benefit can be demonstrated by feedback from the residents ,visitors and Statutory Agencies who work in partnership with the Residents Association. The purpose does not give rise to any harm A private benefit may arise to trustees in developing their skills and experience through the many opportunities to access training. These benefits are incidental and crucial for effective community development engagement thus ensuring the benefits are passed on to the beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
Drumgor Heights Residents Association (elected annually at an AGM) represents the views of all the residents in the area at many different fora from Brownlow Interagency, Lurgan/Brownlow Housing Community Forum, Brownlow Neighbourhood Renewal etc. Over the years the organisation has built up solid working relationships with Statutory and voluntary
organisations who assist them to deal with matters affecting the area. The organisation has undertaken specific projects and has been granted funds to improve the appearance of the estate e.g daffodil planting, provision of window boxes and flower tubs for all residents. DHRA meets regularly with Council and Housing Executive staff to carry out estate inspection toolkits with the overall aim to improving the quality of life of said inhabitants.

Charitable purposes
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Drumgor Heights without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions by engaging in and organising community activities and projects with the object of improving the quality of life of said inhabitants. The Association will associate with other agencies and organisations in furtherance of the above objects
