Public benefits

1. To promote the appreciation, playing, and understanding of Brass Band music.This will enrich the cultural lives of the general public throughout the locality. There is no harm and no private benefit. 2. The provision of tuition and band practice educates members and provides them with musical skills and the ability to read music, and play

instruments for relaxation and enjoyment. There is no harm or private benefit. 3. To enhance the musical interests of the public by performing at public events. There is no harm or any private benefit. 4. There is an indirect benefit in improving health and well being through mental stimulation in reading music, exercise through walking and blowing instruments. There is no harm or private benefit. The public benefits are demonstrated in the feed back we get from the various groups we provide musical entertainment for. Two examples are:- " Everyone was pleased with the service and the music provided by the band went a long way in making it such a success." "Once again many thanks for your help in making this such a successful evening."

Charitable purposes

The objectives shall be to promote and encourage the playing of Brass Band music, to advance the understanding and interest in Brass Band music for the benefit and entertainment of the inhabitants of the Tullyvallen area, together with the wider immediate area of Newry and Mourne District Council and Armagh District Council, which is contiguous to Tullyvallen and its environs.
