Evidenced through increasing number of events/activities promoting arts/culture, feedback/evaluations, increasing number of links and collaborative working between voluntary orgs, requests for events/activities. The benefits flowing from purpose c) include improved cooperation between voluntary and community orgs, improved access to services/facilities, improved capacity of individuals/groups. Evidenced through increasing number of events organised, increasing number of volunteers, general feedback, evaluations, general area stats, feedback from statutory sector. The benefits flowing from purpose d) include provision of additional educational programmes and opportunities for all ages, enhanced knowledge and capacity, enhanced employment and further educational opportunities where are limited, reduction of stress and anxiety due to rural isolation. Evidenced through increased provision of educational/training opportunities, increasing number of participants, general feedback, evaluations, general stats. No harm associated with purposes. The charity’s beneficiaries are those residing, with an interest in mid Glens area, particularly Glenariffe. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced health/wellbeing, improved access to services/facilities, enhanced knowledge/capacity, reduction of social isolation, improved employment and educational opportunities.

Our organisation is set up to provide facilities in an area which is disadvantaged in terms of access to services and facilities. We are a voluntary organisation made up of individuals who live or have an interest in Glenariffe. Our organisation runs fundraising events and activities as part of our efforts to develop a new community multiuse

facility in Glenariffe.

Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Glenariffe area and its environs (the 'area of benefit') without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with voluntary and community organisations, statutory authorities and inhabitants in a common effort to: (a) provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents; (b) promote cultural and arts activities; (c) advance community development by providing facilities and amenities for community and voluntary groups and organisations; (d) advance education and training.
