Public benefits

The direct benefit that flows from purposes 1 is the relief of stress, financial hardship and relief of poverty for the beneficiaries. This is demonstrated by feedback from the beneficiaries and our members. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes. The beneficiaries are those members in need and the widows , orphans or

dependents of deceased brethren. The direct benefit that flows from purpose 2 is that charities are able to carry out their work more efficiently and this helps the wider community. This is demonstrated by feedback from the charities and beneficiaries of charities. Each year the regional lodges nominate a charity to benefit. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes. The beneficiaries are the charities and their beneficiaries.
