Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from this purpose are the strengthening of personal faith and the communicating of the Gospel to people in the locality and beyond. These benefits are evidenced through the teaching and outreach programme of the Fellowship and the feedback from those who attend the activities. The purposes of our charity are not

intended to harm. The beneficiaries are all those who attend the activities of the Fellowship and others who are supported by The Fellowship in their furtherance of this purpose in Northern Ireland and further afield. There is no private benefit. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are that members of the community will have particular needs met by the ongoing programme of activities, planned by the Fellowship and those who benefit from the support of the Fellowship to other organisations, in Northern Ireland and beyond, who share this purpose. These benefits are evidenced through the growth in the Fellowship and in the attendance at the community based activities, with feedback from the attendees. It is also evidenced in the financial report which details the level of support given to other organisations with similar purposes. The purposes of our charity are not intended to harm. The beneficiaries are those people in the community who have a need and find it beneficial to attend the activities of the Fellowship and other organisations with similar purposes, who receive financial and prayer support. There is no private benefit.

What your organisation does

The Bridges serves the community by organising a weekly drop-in and luncheon club for vulnerable members of the community. This is totally financed by the members of the Fellowship. The Fellowship also supports several ministries which help people with addictions and those in need, namely, The Christian Family Centres, Armoy, Namibia and Cork,

The Stauros Foundation, Help for Children, Bolivia and the Causeway Foodbank. They also support individuals who are ministering in Northern Ireland and abroad.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Company shall be to advance the Christian faith by: (a) the proclamation and furtherance of the Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord; (b) the preaching and teaching of the Christian faith in accordance with the doctrines and ethos of The Bridges Christian Fellowship Church appearing in the Schedule to this Memorandum of Association; (c) strengthening the personal faith and witness of the Church's members and by communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to other people in the locality and beyond; (d) uniting a people of like faith in the bonds of brotherly love and fellowship; (e) demonstrating the love of God by meeting needs in the local community and elsewhere.
