What your organisation does

Our aim is entirely the Community Development of Moneyslane and surrounding areas, getting local people involved and encouraging them to keep involved in issues that affect their lives. The project will vastly enhance the experience of local people taking part in educational, recreational and social activities. This focal point and anchor will

allow them to access a greater range of activities and programmes to enhance their personal development, education and health and well being. This Project will enable the entire Moneyslane community an opportunity to have choices to make, in relation to these basic aspects of everyday life those living in urban areas take for granted. The construction of this multi purpose Rural Community Hub is to enable the local community to have a focal point and anchor to engage in a full range of social and well being enhancing activities. To continue to support the development of purposeful activities at the site for local schools, churches, clubs etc. Our overriding desire is to basically offer a long term sustainability solution for the local rural community infrastructure. The purpose of this theme is to encourage people to be active and raise awareness of the benefits that physical, social and mental activity brings. We will use the ‘power of social cohesion and active citizenship’ to engage over-55s and provide regular exercise and social activity at their local community hub, helping participants to improve their health and emotional well-being to address some serious health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, obesity, and depression. Our project also focuses on lifestyle changes that promote health and well-being, helping older people to stay healthy and well and empowering them to live independent lives. Moneyslane Rural Community Hub have all the appropriate governance and management structures in place which are both effective and efficient to deliver this essential project.
