Public benefits
The public benefit flowing from the group's purposes are that women from Bellaghy and surrounding area will be able to avail of training courses and meetings, educational trips and conferences. As a result women living in a rural area will have increased knowledge, skills, self-confidence and as a result general well-being. Other women's groups
will benefit by learning from the experiences of Bellaghy Women's Group Ltd. Families will benefit as will the elderly because they will be able to participate in the recreation and leisure time programmes devised by the group. These public benefits will be measured by evaluations conducted at the end of each series of talks, training sessions, classes etc. Feedback will also be obtained by the management committee when they conduct one to one interviews with beneficiaries or focus groups with their members. They will also be measured by the monitoring demands placed on the group by each individual funding agency. A report on all activities will also be made public at an AGM. There is no harm flowing from these purposes and no priviate benefit except for wages for the various tutors, speakers without whom the normal activities of the group could not take place.
