Public benefits

The benefit that will flow from the purpose is the exposure of the general public to art and heritage they would otherwise be unlikely to experience. The benefit is evidenced, for example, by the charities help in restoration work carried out at Raceview Mill resulting in the award of “2024 Best Rescue of a Historic Building Heritage ” by Ulster

Architectural Heritage and by the charities involvement in the creation of a permanent heritage gallery at the entrance to Raceview Mill with the help of Broughshane Primary School. The charities beneficiaries are the general public. The charitable purpose cannot be obtained without benefitting the artists involved and this benefit is necessary and incidental. Some benefit may be gained by the owner(s) of space(s) which the charity leases, including trustees. However, property will only be leased if the rent can be proven to be on favourable terms and below market value. Renting space is necessary and incidental to the main purpose and any benefit is greatly outweighed by the benefit to the beneficiaries. It is not foreseen that the purposes of our charity will lead to any harm.
