Public benefits

The charity's beneficiaries are those in need in the Philippines due to poverty or sickness who require practical or financial assistance, with a special focus on orphaned or abandoned children, regardless of religion or ethnic background. The only private benefits occurring from our purposes are payment for fundraising staff and giving skills and

training to volunteers which may lead to future employment, also while in the Philippines we continue to use the same rented accommodation for security reason, we regard this as incidental and required for the achievement of our purpose. We provide for food, clothing and education of children in orphanages which leads to the children securing opportunities for stable lives and future employment. The direct benefits that flow from our purpose are an increased access to education and care leading to improved prospects, increased self-esteem, increased economic security, improved living conditions, health status and reduced infant and child poverty. The benefits can be demonstrated by general feedback from the beneficiaries themselves and through the regular monitoring and advice of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Philippines, which all orphanages must be registered with in the Philippines. The livelihood programmes benefit the community at large by increasing a group of families/village economic income and the benefits can be demonstrated through feedback from the beneficiaries and local government who overview the programmes. We are unaware of any harm being caused by our purpose and have monitored our cultural impact on local populations and have found that it is unlikely that any harmful effects will be felt due to the wide diversity of culture in the Philippines.

What your organisation does

The organisation elevates poverty in the Philippines by providing small grants to Philippine registered non-governmental organisations for funding the feeding, clothing and education of children in orphanage care and giving small grants and assistance to local communities for the development of practical livelihood projects, while promoting
