Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from our aim includes giving parents and children a meeting place to get together with others to play, have conversations and enjoy the social interaction which flows from the meetings. This reduces social isolation in our rural community and builds community spirit and relations. Training in parenting skills and

health related issues is occasionally organised and participants learn new skills and share their own knowledge and skills with each other. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of our activities. The aims of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are people living in the Finnis area of Banbridge District Council. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing training and advice to parents. Through this training trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

The Group meets most Fridays (term time) from 10.00 am to 12 noon. The children have a wide range of toys to entertain themselves. It gives parents/guardians the opportunity to chat to other parents while reducing social isolation in our rural area. People who are new to the area have to opportunity to meet and get to know other parents. Adults
