What Benefit flows from the purpose? The direct benefits which flow from this purpose is the, improved health of children, young people and adults through the medium of amateur boxing as an activity. Additionally to educate young people about physical fitness and reduce childhood obesity. Furthermore Improving positive mental health. This is

completed through group and individual discussions with coaches and the development of tailor made programes, and through their physical training. To develop cross community opportunities for young people, by working with other clubs and fight nights.

What your organisation does

The core aim of the club is to engage with young people and adults in the Ballymena Neighborhood Renewal Area and provide them with a focused, disciplined hobby; an opportunity to learn new skills; and the chance to display these skills in various competitions and championships. The club is open to young people from 9 years upwards, both male and

female and also accommodates the casual fitness user who may not wish to compete but can benefit from regular exercise and social interaction. We also have annual white collar events which provides an opportunity for adults who do not normally participate in boxing to train and engage in a fight night this provides much needed revenue for the club and is an opportunity to showcase the work that takes place by skilled volunteer coaches.

Charitable purposes

The club established to promote the preservation and protection of health by the provision of facilities for recreation of other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare for the benefit of the general public in Ballymena South (hereafter called the "area of benefit") without regard to age, gender, ability, disability, ethnic identity, nationality or religion in particular. a. Educate and assist young people aged 8 to 18 through boxing and other recreational activities so as to develop their physical fitness, mental and emotional capacities that they grow to full maturity as individuals and citizens and that their condition of life may be improved.
