What your organisation does
We are a Community Development Organisation that works to provide activities, events and to facilitate organisations for the Community of this new and growing area. We operate on a daily basis and all the work is carried out by volunteers. We are managed by a Management Committee that is elected every year at our AGM. We organise trips and events
to promote inclusion and help build relationships within the Local Community. These events also tackle isolation and promotes Health and Wellbeing for all our participants. We have set up a Parent/Carer/ Toddler Drop in centre in our Community Hall to help bring together people whether parent/carer grandparents and child to meet and share their experiences in a relaxed atmosphere which helps combat isolation. We run an art class for older residents this helps with their sense of well being. We work closely with the Youth Service so that our youth feel part and parcel of the community to develop pride in their neighbourhood and lessen anti social behaviour We aim to help build relationships that will assist with building a healthier happier and vibrant Community. We work in partnership with Local Community Groups advocating the needs for all in the Community.
