What your organisation does
The Church rents rooms from the Eden Community Centre and holds public services every Sunday morning and evening. Invitations to these services and given out in the form of hand delivered leaflets bi-monthly to every house in Eden. At the close of each service, time is allotted for fellowship together over light refreshment. The Pastor regularly
visits every member of the church as well as all who mayrequest visits for themselves or for friends or relatives in hospital or at home. Our Pastor, by invitation, speaks about once a month at each of the following school assemblies; - Woodlawn Primary School, Model Primary School, Acorn Primary School, Victoria Primary School, Eden Primary School, Sunnylands Primary School, Woodburn PrimarySchool and Central Primary School. The Pastor and church members organize, by invitation, two School Clubs per year, each over a five week period, at Sunnylands Primary School, for pupils from P1 – P3. These after school 'Discovery' Clubs have games, crafts singing and a Bible story each week. The church, by invitation, holds regular monthly Sunday afternoon services at the Cambridge Close Residents community hall providing music, singing, a brief Bible message and a cup of tea and a chat to those elderly residents who wish to attend. We also hold special services there on Easter Sunday and Christmas morning as well as a band concert just before Christmas. The church organizes a fund raising 'tea party' in May or June annually on behalf of the Open Doors Ministries whose remit is the alleviation of persecution and suffering of christians in other countries worldwide. We further donate one week's offerings out of our church funds each November for the same cause.
