Public benefits
Purpose 1: To advance the education of children in Lusango, Uganda. The direct benefits, which flow from this purpose, include the provision of improved facilities and equipment for education and recreation. These benefits are demonstrated through biannual visits back to the area assessing visually the health and hygiene of the students and
through contact with the school head mistress. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children living in Lusango, Uganda. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. No private benefit may arise from this. Purpose 2: To help relieve poverty and hunger in Lusango, Uganda. The direct benefits, which flow from this purpose, include the provision of food, water and health supplies to the community in the area of benefit. These benefits are demonstrated through biannual visits to the area assessing the general health and well being of the community and though contact with the local midwife. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people living in Lusango, Uganda. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. No private benefit may arise from this.

Charitable purposes
The purpose of Strands of Hope is to support by means of voluntary work and financial assistance to any charitable project for the relief of poverty, the advancement of education, for the relief of sickness and the protection and preservation of health for the benefit of those in need (hereinafter referred to as the “beneficiaries”) in Lusango, Uganda (hereinafter referred to as the "area of benefit") by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants and in particular to: (a) to advance the education of children in the area of benefit by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment for education and recreation; (b) to relieve sickness among the beneficiaries by the provision of medical facilities and the provision of financial assistance with the costs of medical treatment and the provision of items and services required to ease their suffering; (c) to relieve poverty and hunger in the area of benefit by any charitable means and in particular the provision of food, water and health supplies to the community within the area of benefit;
