Public benefits
Our group benefits the public by providing our members a place to meet and correspond with like people. It endevours to combat loneliness and isolation for the older persons It gets them out of the houses for a day and it also leaves carers etc.time to relax By arranging visits and outings to various cultural and educational places of interest it
gives them something to dress up for and have a nice meal on the way home. It also helps their families to know they are getting out among friends and getting to know a wider group of people,
What your organisation does
Our Organisation provides coffee on arrival - We the do puzzles or exercises. make beads, knit rugs for UGANDA. knit jumpers for premature babies, we also knit teddies for children travelling by ambulance to/from hospital. We run cookery demonstrations, Invite local pharmacist to talk on health matter. Arrange for Healthy eating meals during the
year and go on cultural and educational tours visiting museums etc A hot lunch is prepared each day and a meal provided on each outing. Our aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle programme for our eldery folk and to keep their minds active. We would have a tea dance at least once a year.

The objects for which The Club is established is to provide group activities for over sixties persons within a warm and friendly environment and through membership participation advance the education of the club members concerning the History, Culture, Arts and leisure, Literature, Language, Song, Dance, Drama and Musical Heritage of the Ulster Scots, British Tradition.
