We aim to achieve this through the means of our educational facilities. These benefits can be demonstrated by we provide talks to schools in conjunction with key stages. We also have provide education buses to allow those schools who cannot normally access the museum to visit. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. We can show the benefits through the advancement of education. We do this by providing research facilities as well as expertise to help both students and PhD researchers as well as writers, local community groups, and schools with information and help within a museums institute. The charity’s beneficiaries are wide ranging including community groups, schools, and volunteers. We also promote recruitment to the services through exhibitions and displays. What your organisation does
To offer a high quality of experience to a broad audience and targeted groups. To promote a wider awareness of the history of the Royal Irish Fusiliers and the work of the Royal Irish Regiment Museums through the collections, displays and our services to the public. To co-operate and work with local education authorities, local schools, youth
groups, community organisations, ex-service organisations, colleges and other educational establishments. The current educational facilities at this museum include workshops on both world wars, the soldier in the Victorian period, with handling collections, dressing up uniforms, colouring in corner and three quizzes for visitors of different age groups. The education programme is mostly carried out on an outreach basis to schools, youth groups and specialist lifelong learning groups. In schools there has been an increasing emphasis on learning from first-hand experience reinforced by the introduction of the GCSE examinations and the National Curriculum. The Royal Irish Fusiliers Museum is well placed to contribute to the Northern Ireland Curriculum Policy in a number of areas, including history, global citizenship, science and technology. Outside of formal education this museum offers opportunities to learn through enjoyment and to promote an awareness of the history of this Regiment and its association with Armagh.
