This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. Advancing the education of pupils in the school. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children at Straid Primary School School. What your organisation does

Straid Primary School is a voluntary organisation and an Association of which all parents and guardians of children attending Straid Primary School as well as its teaching staff are effectively members. Members are entitled to attend meetings, vote on proposed ideas and make suggestions for spending or raising funds. The main objective of the

Association is to work in partnership with the school and parents to enhance the education and wellbeing of both Straid Primary School pupils by providing resources and activities for the children as well as augmentation and facilitated provided by the Education and Library Board. Straid Primary School PTA plays an important role in the life of the school and assists in a number of ways: - Fundraising for resources and equipment, to date this has included new books for the children, contribution towards trips, Christmas gifts, classroom resources, CD Players, Cameras and Printing costs, hockey goal keeper kit, internet router, playground play resources. - Links with the wider community. The PTA is on hand to provide refreshments at social events and host community events. We have to date held a Summer Fair and Christmas Fair to bring together both the school and the wider community. - Provide additional support during school events Achieving this is only possible through the commitment and enthusiasm of our committee members and the great band of volunteers, who all work tirelessly in support of the school and wider community.

The purpose of the Association (the Purposes) is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by: Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school; Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
