Public benefits

In relation to all of the purposes of Killyrammer & District Community Association, the direct benefits can include; the advancement of community development, the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, the promotion of equality, diversity and the advancement of

education. Killyrammer & District Community Association will do this by providing programmes of activity that create opportunities for citizenship and community development, education and training, raising awareness of equality and diversity through workshops, classes and information sessions. Other activities will be developed to encourage community involvement and provide a better quality of life, health and wellbeing for service users both young and old, including those with both physical and mental disabilities. In addition, Killyrammer & District Community Association will involve members of the Association, volunteers, carers and the wider community in a common effort to tackle poverty, deprivation, and relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage sickness, loneliness and associated problems by devising programmes, workshops and information sessions and by signposting to other help services. These benefits can be demonstrated through consultation from members of Killyrammer & District Community Association and through other feedback and evaluation exercises from other groups and participating members, including word of mouth feedback. Killyrammer & District Community Association will be working with other Public Bodies at a strategic level and also associating with other local voluntary and community groups to ensure that ongoing community support is facilitated. In relation to all of the above, the beneficiaries of Killyrammer & District Community Association are all people living in and around Killyrammer and its environs. In particular but not exclusive of others, those attending the activities may include; people facing difficulties, the bereaved, the depressed, people of all ages and disabilities. There are no harms resulting from any of the purposes. No person connected with this organisation gains a private benefit which is more than incidental to carrying out the purposes.

Charitable purposes

The Charity's objects (''Objects'') are specifically restricted to the following:- To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Killyrammer and its environs (the "area of benefit") without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: (a) promote community development by providing facilities, support and information for community and voluntary groups and organisations and encouraging and assisting such organisations to co-operate to achieve their aims; (b) provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents; (c) relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage; (d) advance education and training and the arts and culture; (e) promote participation in healthy recreation; (f) promote good community relations and social cohesion, racial harmony and equality and diversity.
