The benefits which flow from purpose ‘A’ include improving health and well-being, and relieving poverty and disadvantage for women and their families living within our catchment in Upper Ardoyne. It also includes enhanced education and employability through education and training programmes. This occurs via the provision of a range of services and support structures which help those within the locality improve their current circumstances NBWISP aims to be a gateway for change through health support initiatives, and opportunities for self-development, training and education. These benefits can be demonstrated through feedback gathered from participants, government health statistics, reporting to statutory agencies (e.g. Belfast Regeneration Office) and independent evaluation of our provision. The beneficiaries of this purpose are women from the Upper Ardoyne area of Belfast and their families. There is no perceived harm flowing from this purpose.
