What your organisation does
The organisation meets weekly for social contact and interaction. We have a physical activity each week which takes the form of armchair aerobics, boccia or new age kurling. We have talks of interest to older people. We have talks from the statutory bodies which inform people on health and welfare issues. We have classes which have included such
topics as cookery, computers for beginners, reflexology, aromatherapy and sign language. Mental stimulation is provided through memory games, puzzles, quizzes and bingo. Twice yearly we arrange an outing to some place of interest. Each meeting ends with a cup of tea which members take in turn to provide.
