Public benefits

The purpose of the group is to promote play base learning for all children under statutory school age in Glenravel and its surrounding area. Direct benefits which flow from this purpose include raising awareness of age appropriate play based learning among parents and carers and also provision of early education for children under statutory school

age in Glenravel. Evidence of benefits are sourced through feedback from parents/carers, either by oral communication or parental questionnaires, and also by regular evaluations of service carried out by Social Services and the Education and Training Inspectorate. The purpose does not raise or lead to any issues of harm. The beneficiaries of the purpose are children under statutory school age living in Glenravel and its surrounding area and also to include parents/carers of these children. A private benefit as a direct result of this purpose is that gained by a trustee from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance and other areas which may be transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. The trustees believe that the purpose satisfies both elements of the public requirement.
