The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in social skills amongst young people locally, improvement in emotional well-being, improved positive educational outcomes, increased development in the lives of local young people, increased community safety, increased capacity amongst local youth providers, increased

communication and community cohesion This purpose will also provide improvements to overall community life. The above benefits will be evidenced through a number of evaluative means including: project monitoring records, recordings and observations of volunteers, staff members and board members; other qualitative data from parents, teachers, and community representatives; quantitative data from programme and project evaluations; data from other sources including other service providers both statutory and non-statutory. There is no identifiable harm to any person through the pursuit of the above organisational purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children, young people and youth providers groups living or based in Ardoyne, Oldpark and neighbouring districts of North Belfast A private benefit is that gained by a volunteer, staff member or board member who has a child who makes use of the facilities and programmes developed by our organisation. The child applies to be part of the programmes and is given access in the same way as other beneficiaries. North Belfast We service the needs of 23 member youth providers and 20 non-member groups in office support, administration, photocopying, internet, advice, research, networking, strategic planning and fundraising assistance. We represent local needs on various community committees and management boards. We produce information posters and newsletters around community events, health campaigns and charity work. We deliver and source training and learning opportunities including First Aid, child protection, minibus driving, leadership, drugs and alcohol awareness, health awareness, personal development and job-seeking. We organise and coordinate community meetings to discuss and plan improvements to early years, sports, arts, summer intervention, health, good-relations and youth provision locally. We engage with a broad range of statutory agencies and NGOs to secure resources and enhanced community services. We deliver community safety initiatives relating to interface violence/tensions and anti-social behaviour, and and cordite a number of summer-intervention and diversionary programmes annually. We have been leading on a number of community regeneration initiatives locally including the development of synthetic football pitches opened in May 2014 and are currently negotiating the asset transfer of St Gemmas High School (Closed August 2013) for future community development and use. We work closely with neighbouring communities and have developed substantial regeneration plans around shared youth spaces. We are a key information point of contact for all local community, youth and sports groups, and statutory agencies
