Public benefits
Westacres Residents Association believes that our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits deriving from the organisations purpose include improved quality of life for its residents, a clean well maintained estate, reduced anti-social behaviour , improved services and a settled community. Our
beneficiaries are the residents of Westacres first and foremost and includes visitors to the estate. The benefits can be demonstrated by feedback from the residents, visitors and Statutory Agencies who work in partnership with the Residents Association. The purpose does not give rise to any harm. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is the enhancement and improving of skills of the management committee by taking part in training, developing their capacity etc.. this is incidental and necessary to ensure they are effective in addressing the needs of the community.
What your organisation does
Westacres Residents Association works tirelessly to ensure our estate is kept well maintained , that homes are well maintained and there is a strong sense of community pride in the area. Estate clean ups. Estate inspection toolkits and regular walkabouts with the relevant statutory agencies and attendance at numerous meeting forums ensures that
the needs and concerns of the residents are addressed. In the past the organisation has undertaken specific projects receiving grants to improve the appearance of the estate by carrying out daffodil planting, provision of window boxes and flower tubs for all residents.
