Public benefits
We believe that our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits which flow from the purposes are that parents are enabled to avail of employment and educational/training opportunities in the knowledge that their children's needs are being catered for after school and during holiday periods. This relieves a
local need for such a service and, in turn, prevents or relieves poverty in the area. There is also local provision for children of school age attending schools in the Lisnaskea area to access supervised quality care for after school activity and during school holiday periods. Children are able to access an environment where their individual needs are identified and catered for by qualified staff that work in partnership with parents and schools where there any issues of concern. The benefit is demonstrated through feedback from parents, annual inspections undertaken by Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) and feedback from staff from PlayBoard and other support organisations. This benefit is further demonstrated through feedback from children attending the Club and local schools. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children who attend the Club, their parents and local schools.
What your organisation does
Bright Sparks was formed in response to a need expressed by parents for some form of after school provision in the area. During term time the Club operates Monday to Friday 1.45pm to 6.00pm and has two staff members and a number of bank staff. During school holidays the Club is open according to the demand expressed by parents. A voluntary
management committee made up of family members of those attending the Club and other interested individuals is charged with the overall strategic management of the Club and the Chairperson acts as line manager for staff. The Club provides a dedicated transport service for five schools at 2pm and 3pm pick up.

Charitable purposes
The Club is established: For the public benefit to relieve the local need for childcare in and around Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh and to enable parents and carers to take up or continue employment by providing quality childcare for children of school age with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the club. The Club shall open to all children and parents/carers without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion.
