Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from our purposes is in providing people from our rural area with the opportunity to engage with others, for the benefit of themselves and the community at large. In particular, meetings, and educational, informative or simply social events, help prevent isolation and encourage an interest in the community, both in
terms of current activities, and planning for the future. The benefits are demonstrated by the numbers involved and participating in events, from which we regularly canvass feedback. Our beneficiaries are people living in, and visiting, Millisle and surrounding district. Private benefit is incidental and there is no harm flowing from the purposes.
