1 All pupils, parents and friends associated with Limavady Grammar School benefit from the fund – this is extended to those attending open nights which are open to all comers. 2 Examples of Benefit Refreshments at parents and open nights, subsidising travel expenses for pupils on field trips, expenditure on improvement of school environment,

advancement of amateur sport, adding to educational facilities within the school such as supplementing school library to improve literacy skills. The school fund is used to help the school outwork its Mission Statement – ‘Learning, Caring, Preparing for Life’. The advancement of amateur sport helps to develop a pupil with a competitive edge; pupil experiences on field trips and assisting at school events to which the public are invited, prepare them for life beyond the classroom, developing a sense of citizenship and community 3 Demonstrated by hire of recreational facilities, also expenses associated with school prize day. Travel costs to field trips and sports fixtures. 4 There is no private benefit or harm attributed to the activities of the fund.

Limavady Grammar School Fund shall exist for the purpose of advancing the education of the pupils by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for the education of pupils at the school not normally provided by the Local Authority.
