PURPOSE To advance education and in particular the education of people not in full time gainful employment who are in their third age residing in Omagh District and its surrounding locality. THE BENEFITS FLOWING FROM THIS PURPOSE Education of people in their Third Age in a social environment so as to enrich their lives, fostering a positive and
creative approach to retirement, maintaining mental and physical well-being. BENEFITS WILL BE EVIDENCED THROUGH participation in Interest Groups Members' monthly meetings and the variety and number of Interest Groups. No harm is anticipated from the benefit. THE CHARITY’S BENEFICIARIES ARE people who are in their Third Age, residing in Omagh District and surrounding locality and who are no longer in full-time gainful employment. PRIVATE BENEFIT Nil
What your organisation does
Omagh District U3A facilitates the formation of Interest Groups bringing together people who are interested in reading, travel, French, IT, Crafts, photography, singing, Yoga. We hope to add to the list of interests as membership grows. In addition there are monthly members' meetings where we have guest speakers who give interesting and
informative talks on a range of topics.
