Research directly with adults show an increase in musical and acting talent, leading to an increase in their performance levels. As a consequence this improves their self confidence and general awareness of music and the arts. The benefit which flows from the purpose also includes the education of the general public in general providing an

increased awareness of the benefits of music and the Musical Theatre. The benefits which flow from the purpose includes the participation of young people to develop skills and talents of musical theatre. These developed skills enhance their self confidence in general life. Benefits also ensure that with increasing complex roles this encourages and enhances their performance levels. The benefits can be demonstrated by the number of attendees at our performances as well as the feedback received from membership and those who have booked return concerts. No harm flows from form our purpose. No private benefits flow from our purpose. The beneficiaries are the public and those attending performances/concerts.

What your organisation does

The New Lyric Operatic Company provides an avenue for members of the general public to perform in concerts and musical shows throughout the province. The company provides direction in voice, acting and dance ability, in particular Musical Theatre. Experience and direction is also provided with regard to backstage skills with members shadowing or

helping out with light/sound, staging, props, costuming and makeup etc. The company aim to perform one major musical show and/or Pantomime each year and various concerts throughout the year for the general public of Northern Ireland.
