Public benefits

Our aim is to enhance the educational experience of children and adults from the deprived areas of Quilpue and Botswana by providing extra funds for school books, uniforms, extra tuition, and enhancement of facilities. This enables more children to have access to education which would not otherwise have been available and the education is of a

better quality by increasing book numbers and improving facilities. We also assist with funds for training and other such activities that will help better equip the local population towards a sustainable future. In the last financial year £4K was donated to Quilpue and it was used to assist with three school projects-- 1. Provide books for library giving more children access to books and helping to improve their education 2. Enhance classroom facilities so that a better quality of education can be provided 3. Purchase of a school minibus to enable transport to and from school for children who would not have been able to attend or afford transport previously. The school has in excess of 1,000 pupils who are the beneficiaries and also demonstrating how many pupils can now access the benefits. Botswana - £2k was raised to provide training for nursery teachers to better equip them to pass on their knowledge to the children and also to supply books and equipment for the nursery school improving the quality of education available at a young age. The school has approx 60/80 children who benefit, the majority of whom are orphans of Aids victims who would not have had access to education otherwise. To date no volunteers have been recruited as the monies raised are being concentrated on volunteers who are already in the areas of benefit, however, this is retained as possibility for the future should the need arise. The benefits of the purposes are demonstrated by the numbers attending the schools and receiving education that would not otherwise be doing so. Positive feedback from the beneficiaries and those in direct contact in the areas also demonstrates the benefits. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes
