The public benefit that flows from the purpose is improved health and well-being and increase in knowledge and a reduction in social isolation amongst people aged 50+. This is demonstrated by the number of service users who access the services offered, evaluation forms, questionnaires and one to one feedback. The purpose does not lead to harm.
The Charity’s beneficiaries are people aged 50+, their families and the wider community. Private benefit flowing from the purpose is salaries paid to staff members, costs paid to tutors and training provided to members and committee members in order for them to carry out the work of the organisation. Through this training the committee gains skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These incidental benefits are necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

The organisation provides opportunities for people aged 50+ to improve their health and well-being through various activities. The organisation arranges a weekly programme of health and education related activities, arranges speakers on subjects to inform older people and raises issues of concern to the appropriate bodies and acts as a signposting
body.
