The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include enabling local churches to carry out missionary work in the local community and abroad, the purchase of religious material to help educate local
children, to aid in the training and education of new ministers / lay people, to support sick and retired members of the clergy. Can you demonstrate this? These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from ministers and officials of the local churches during Sunday services. Is any harm or possibility of harm outweighed by the benefit? There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Who is the benefit for? The charities beneficiaries are primarily for people living in Northern Ireland, but may extend to people abroad through the churches missionary works. Is there any private benefit? Is it incidental or necessary? None. Second Purpose The relief of poverty by way of donations to local charities. What benefit flows from this purpose? The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include care for the sick and terminally ill, medical research, help with the homeless, help for children in need, help in times of world crisis (e.g. famines, natural disasters). Can you demonstrate this? These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from charities that the funds have been put to good use. Is any harm or possibility of harm outweighed by the benefit? There is no harm flowing from this purpose. Who is the benefit for? The charities beneficiaries are primarily for people living in Northern Ireland, but may extend to people abroad. What your organisation does
Contributions to local churches and requests from charitable organisations which furthers the advancement of religion, the adoption of a moral framwork which encourages people to be good citizens.
