Purpose 1: Children are provided with a safe, caring and stimulating environment, where children of all backgrounds can play and have fun. This enhances the development and education of preschool children in a cross-community based group and meets the needs of each individual child. We receive feedback from parents at various times throughout the

year, we have an annual parents night, parent interviews, parent questionnaires, observations, parent comments on both the comments book and also our facebook page, 'Ballymoney Playgroup'. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children at Ballymoney & District Community Playgroup. Charity trustees (Committee members) are usually also parents at the playgroup which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. Purpose 2: The benefit which flows are that children’s feelings are promoted enhancing security, self-esteem and confidence, in a happy family environment. We help children practice existing skills and give them the confidence to develop new ones, while developing a positive attitude towards learning. which will ensure equality of opportunity for all children and their families. We promote the children's feelings of security, self-esteem and confidence, in a happy family environment. We help children practice existing skills and give them the confidence to develop new ones, while developing a positive attitude towards learning.

Charitable purposes

The Group is established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age, (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of the Ballymoney and District Community Playgroup and its surrounding environs in County Antrim, (hereinafter called the 'area of benefit') without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: a) to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group; and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and b) to support the values and principles of Early Years.
