Public benefits
The public benefits that flow from purpose (1) are: (i) an enhancement of society’s knowledge and understanding of the unique aspects of the performing arts through research and the preservation of records, documents and artefacts relating to this art form; (ii) sustaining and furthering the development of the performing arts. The beneficiaries
are the public. These benefits can be evidenced through articles, literature, reports and research findings concerning or relating to the nature of and developments in the performing arts and the accumulation and preservation of an archive of relevant material. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose. The public benefits that arise from purpose (2) are: (i) raised awareness, understanding and appreciation by the public of the performing arts; (ii) renewed enthusiasm for and belief in the arts as a means of expression and fulfilment. The beneficiaries are the public. These benefits can be evidenced through: feedback from, and records of the number of, attendees at exhibitions, performances, lectures, workshops and classes; the findings of community, social attitude and other surveys; and evaluations of the work and impact of Exit does theatre. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose. The public benefits that arise from purpose (3) are: (i) improved well-being, confidence and self-esteem arising from engagement with and participation in the performing arts, leading to a better quality of life; (ii) enhanced inclusion and access to cultural experiences, particularly among marginalised groups in society. The beneficiaries are people living in Fermanagh and elsewhere who engage with the performing arts. These benefits can be evidenced through: feedback from participants, records of the number of participants; and evaluations of the work and impact of Exit does theatre and other performing arts organisations based in County Fermanagh.

Based in Northern Ireland, Exit does theatre makes innovative, quality work for everyone Exit does theatre supports: As part of its commitment to developing new work for theatre, Exit does theatre regularly presents performance & production / workshops, as well as public readings. Exit does theatre provides dramaturgical, training and mentoring
support to playwrights and other theatre artists. Our audience is at the heart of everything we do and we shape each show through creative consultation with its intended audience, and those who live and work with them. And from what our audience tells us, the end result is shows which really work. Exit does theatre tours locally, nationally and internationally –and lots of places in between.
