What your organisation does
Keady Stay & Play Group is a cross-community play group run by parents and carers. We predominantly cater for pre-school children in the local area but also hold regular events throughout the year, which involve older children and other family members. The group meets every Monday in St. Patrick’s Youth Club, Keady, between 10.00am and 12.00pm
and is 100% voluntary which means we are open during school holidays and Bank Holidays. We have an average weekly attendance of 12 adults and 23 children, although this number increases greatly during school holidays. Our group aims to give every child and young person in the area the best start in life by providing a great place to make new friends, learn new things and become part of the community. Children have the opportunity for free play and the chance to develop social skills through structured group activities and snack times. We support parents and caregivers by providing the opportunity to make friendships and meet other families in the community.
