Public benefits
1) To improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Ballyblack area and those living particularly in the small hamlet of Loughries, Newtownards, County Down by providing facilities for recreation and other leisure activities with the object of fostering a community spirit. 2) To provide education for those living within the Ballyblack area
and the small hamlet of Loughries to improve their conditions of life The Directors of the Charity believe that both of our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. Purpose 1 The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes the improvement of health and community life for those of all ages living in the community. The benefits are demonstrated through a regular review of the activities by the Director of the company and feedback from members of the community. It is intended that questionnaires be completed by those taking part in the activities on a regular basis. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The private benefit which flows from this purpose is that all Directors, as residents of the community, are entitled to be involved in the activities. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 2 The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of the local district. The benefits are demonstrated through feedback from the local community. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. A private benefit to Directors may arise as the information and education obtained can assist Directors in their activities and responsibilities within various other organisations. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
