Public benefits

Education of other religious beliefs, The public would benefit from further understanding of other religions, giving that sense of understanding and allowing the public to see the beauty and spiritually of other cultures. Most of the complementary therapies we use today come from other cultures, this would help by elevating the fears of the

unknown, allowing everyone to try these therapies without that fear. This helps the individual to open their mind and accept others for who they are and not judge others by their fears and misconception about other religions. Creating more people to have an open mind will benefit society by creating more understanding and acceptance for all, with less religious hate crime. Promoting Holistic Therapies, Providing Treatments By promoting the benefits of Complementary therapies and encouraging people to try these therapies this will have a great benefit to the health of those people. This would mean they would be healthier and have a stronger sense of wellbeing. For those who cannot afford treatment trough financial hardship, funding people for some of these treatments will give a better quality of life, giving them and their family that caring touch will improve health. The overall public health would improve and people would be happier if everyone were to take some of the help and self-treatments we teach and are now available. People taking holistic treatments would be healthier and have less need to visit the doctor taking a little strain of the NHS. Understanding Crossing Over / Family Bereavement. The help we provide with counselling those who are terminally ill and their families, helps them to come to terms with the loss of a loved one. This counselling is very important form a spiritual point of view and gives great comfort to everyone concerned. There is further benefit in keeping the Mind, Body and Spirit fit and healthy via this holistic counselling. It improves the mental health of the family and helps with the understanding within their beliefs. Helping people in this way would have a better mental health and making a better community with a happier outlook on life. These benefits are (will be) demonstrated through... Records will be kept to demonstrate the public benefit and help everyone's progress. These will be recorded at every meeting in which the client attends so a progress report can be completed. This will allow the overall benefit to be recorded. These records will be kept in confidence and only used to demonstrate the progress of the client and to compile a report of the Golden River Trusts performance. Negative effects, The only negative effect we can see is people who are do not tolerate other religious beliefs could object to people having holistic treatments. However benefit would be greater than these objections, the good response we have received so far is overwhelming. The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public. To gain a trust from the public, people recommending others and understanding their own benefits from working with the charity will help with fundraising, gaining volunteers to complete the over objectives. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is, the volunteers and trustees will gain experience in the type of work they are involved with, this is incidental and necessary because the experience gained will help everyone to improve their skills which will also improve the day to day running of the charity, helping the charity grow.

What your organisation does

The charity teaches people about holistic treatments and how these treatments can be of use to them with regard to helping with the healing process during illness. Teaching how these forms of treatment can be incorporated into their religious beliefs and that of minority religions. Teaching how we can all live in harmony and benefit from each

others belief. We provide access to genuine holistic therapists, we carefully check their qualifications and insurance for such treatments they provide and for those who cannot afford such treatment we arrange appointments for such treatment and pay on their behalf. This includes treatments with addictions, illness, death and bereavements.
