The trustees believe that our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. Purpose one Direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improved opportunity for the inclusion and increased participation of those determined most unlikely or unable to avail of such service provision and delivery due to socio-economic
deprivation, marginalisation, isolation or disaffection. Benefits are demonstrated through service user feedback, statistical databases in our annual report, feedback from community & statutory partners and published information provided on our website. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are Children & young people 5 - 25 years, residing within the top 20% designated areas of multiple deprivation in NI or those deprived through lack of opportunity; unemployment; lack of education and/or social exclusion throughout the United Kingdom & Europe. Purpose two Direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the development of individual capabilities, competences, skills & understanding; individual attainment of recognised accreditation or qualification, additional or supplemental to, mainstream educational provision. Benefits are demonstrated through service user feedback, statistical databases in our annual report, feedback from community & statutory partners and published information on our website. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are children & young people 5 – 25 years throughout the United Kingdom & Europe. Young people 14-16 who are underachieving or have “opted out” of mainstream educational provision. School leavers 16-18 years, who on completing formal educational provision, attained minimum or no qualification,. Young people 18-25 deemed furthest from the workplace due to lack of skills, training or recognised qualification or those with the potential to become long-term unemployed. Purpose three Direct benefits which flow from this purpose include: Developing & inspiring civic values, encouraging voluntary & community activity, Promoting social inclusion, community cohesion & volunteering, Providing youth outreach, “drop-in” and training facilities, Promoting social investment, Developing social and community enterprise for future sustainability. Benefits are demonstrated through facilities provision, voluntary action, service user feedback, statistical databases within our annual report, feedback from community & statutory partners, published information on our website and future sustainability. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The charity’s direct beneficiaries are determined as children & young people 5 – 25 years; additional indirect beneficiaries determined in as to the areas, communities and region in which direct beneficiaries reside; or in which development is initiated throughout the United Kingdom & Europe. Wider beneficiaries are determined as society as a whole. Purpose four Direct benefits which flow from this purpose include promoting good relations and lessening conflict between people of different politico-religious backgrounds and racial and ethnic groups across the world by promoting knowledge and understanding between them. Benefits are demonstrated through service user feedback, statistical databases within our annual report, feedback from community & statutory partners and published information on our website. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The charity’s direct beneficiaries are determined as children & young people 5 – 25 years; indirect beneficiaries being as to the areas, communities and region in which they reside, or in which development is initiated throughout the United Kingdom & Europe: wider beneficiaries being society as a whole. Any private benefit flowing from any one of our four purposes that is gained by a Trustee or their family is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all our beneficiaries
