creative processes and a heightened sense of fulfillment, well-being and aesthetic appreciation arising from the opportunity to engage with artists and participate in creative activities. The benefits that flow from this purpose are: the enhanced professional development of, and knowledge among, new and emerging artists; the development of creative ideas, technical processes, collaborative artistic projects and effective means of engaging with the public. These benefits can be evidenced through feedback from the artists taking part in these activities and from funders and other evaluations of the work of Studio Souk. No harm or private benefit rises from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the new and emerging artists, designers and makers. These benefits can be evidenced through feedback from the public and artists, artisans and students, either verbal or written through comment cards or an online survey and by community surveys concerning quality of life issues. No harm or private benefit rises from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the general public.

What your organisation does

Studio Souk is an open plan studio and incubation space in the heart of the city centre, where young and emerging artists/designers/makers have the opportunity to work in a shared studio space, gain experience in the arts, receive support and grow confidence and strength in their chosen field, and work together on group art projects. Central to

these projects is the key theme of reduce, reuse and recycling, with the constant and continued promotion of sustainability and reduction of landfill. It is with this ethos that we engage in current collective projects for Belfast City Council.
