Public benefits
The direct benefit which flows from our purpose are providing a communal meeting place to promote educational training, recreational and leisure activities, social inclusion and the ethos of Christian values. These benefits will be evidenced through a questionnaire which was distributed to every house in the local area within a 3 mile radius.
There are no harmful elements arising from our purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are those who attend, mainly from the local area but others from further afield who avail of the activities provided. These activities provide opportunity for social interaction and contribute to the individuals personal mental health and well being. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is in providing financial assistance to repay the loan which was necessary to upgrade the premises to required standard for disability access and health and safety regulations and for ongoing upkeep of same. Personal training, i.e. first aid, food hygiene enable trustees to acquire skills and experience which can be transferable to other settings.
What your organisation does
As an organisation we seek to assist in the advancement of education through running various classes - first aid, child protection, food hygiene etc. There is a weekly childrens Bible club which promotes the ethos of Christian values as well as allowing children to form new friendships and parents to benefit from short term respite. We take a
keen interest in helping those in need both locally by distributing food and literature; and worldwide, by providing knitted/crocheted blankets and other garments as well as contributing financially.
