Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from purpose A is the provision of means whereby people can relax, enjoy and benefit from recreation and leisure. These benefits are evidenced through a number of disabled vehicle users who have signed for keys to make use of the coastal path. ACDA have no jurisdiction for monitoring usage, however, we have received
much verbal praise and feedback on the provision of the facilities. Work carried out can be seen around the village and any donations made to Groups are published in the local press. The purposes of our charity may lead to the following harm as there is always a risk of accident in public areas but this has not happened to date therefore the benefit has outweighed the harm. The risk is covered by Public Liability Insurance. The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public of Annalong and district and of Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. The direct benefits which flow from purpose B is the provision of employment for local people. These benefits are evidenced through invoices for payment for work which has been carried out. The purposes of our charity may lead to harm if we do not source the correct people to carry out the work. We take extreme care in assessing the ability and take advice to find the most suitable firm for every task. If we cannot find a local firm we look outside of the local area. The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public of Annalong and district and of Northern Ireland. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose are the firms who carry out the work and this is incidental and necessary as the facilities have to be provided and upgraded.
